Obama-Romney video wars: Mitt Romney makes a valid point about the 47 percent
A video of Mitt Romney stating 47 percent of the country will automatically vote for President Obama, because they are dependent on government aid, was released last Monday. This percentage refers to the share of Americans who do not pay federal income taxes, many of whom receive government financial assistance. The video was secretly taped at a fundraiser dinner party in May, attended by contributors to his campaign. He was clearly speaking to please them. The video went viral, and Romney has been under public attack since then. The invisible man
The media tells us what to think about and what to debate over and what issues to follow. That is their power. Or in some cases, they make sure to keep us from thinking about people they don’t like by keeping them out of the spotlight. This is what is happening to Republican Rep. Ron Paul, who is in the race for the GOP nomination. Because of personal bias or disagreement with his politics the news media is simply refusing to cover or even in most cases mention Ron Paul. Instead they choose to cover people like Sarah Palin who is not even in the race currently, and to be perfectly honest doesn’t have a shot in hell of winning.
