Robots are not just for building cars and repairing underwater oil spills anymore. Robots are the librarians of the 21st century. The Miller Nichols Library invested $20 million in a robot of its own. UMKC loses one of its own

Wasui Oladimeji Olidapo was a junior whose friends remember him as a kind-hearted, soft-spoken, friendly and hard working young man. NBC Action News reports Olidapo was found dead July 13, 2010. Police found him at 6:12 a.m. at the McDonald’s on the 6400 block of Troost, in his car, after receiving reports of an isolated car in the parking lot. New parking rules

According to a press release, new and returning students might notice a surprising addition to the campus this fall. Unlike state-of-the-art Student Union or the newly renovated campus library, this change will likely be met with groans, not cheers. The Rockhill Crest Neighborhood Association passed a new parking regulation in March to authorize permit-only parking. Sodexo at UMKC has a new addition leading the dining services team. J.P. Singh, new general manager for Sodexo, brings 35 years of experience to UMKC. He officially starts September 1, 2010.
